Gran Turismo on PSP - Rickshow's Game Review

Review by Rickshow and Gamespot.

Maayong Adlaw mga higala. A lot of PSP racing game hits the market during 2009 and non of it caught my attention the way Gran Turismo did.

Sad to say this game lacks a single player mode or most commonly a career mode just like the Need for Speed variants but it's ok. I had enough of those ridiculous non legit city driving stories that made up most of NFS' game. So pede ra gihapon. Madala dala ra sya.

There are more than 750 real time cars on the game. When I say real time, it is accurate in real life. Naa jud sya ga dagan sa dalan somewhere else in the world. The tuning is very tight and the controls are very strict.

Kung anad ka ug NFS nga racing. Dili jud sya mu work kung mu dula ka ug GT. Braking is very important to this game and its challenging course. Naay mga real time courses or race tracks sa game. May it a circuit or a dirt track. Snow, desert, you name it. the game has it. It's not a put it down game immediately. Ma addict ka kung anad na ka sa race track pero kung dili grabe jud ka challenging.

The braking is essential para dili ka ma labay of track. Once, malabay ka, you are most likely to lose the race. That's whats frustrating about the game. Pero once ma anad ka and maka kwarta ka sa isa ka race track, you will want to earn more. Earning more means you have a wide variety of exotic cars available.

On thing nga dapat inote... You cannot choose a specific car immediately kai ang dealership ga change once in a while. If you see a Ford this day, you may see another brand the next...

Sa ako lang, im always keeping an eye out for a Ferrari but wala ko na lucky. My friend in the office got lucky though. He got a Ferrari.

Naa lang pud mi gamay nga problems about sharing and trading cars. It seems like specific rare cars lang ang pede ma trade.

Sa akong assumption lang pud, ang mga dealers sa mga cars mag gawas lang sila depende sa imung car collection or mga cars na na palit. I do not know if this is accurate but this is what I understood so far.

Here are the Pros and Cons from GAMESPOT:

PROS:
  • Compelling car collection
  • Realistic handling on no fewer than 800 cars
  • Loads of varied tracks that offer different challenges
  • Good ad hoc multiplayer options
  • Drifting is a fun addition to the standard racing.
CONS:
  • No Career mode (Ouch)
  • Lacks online play (Super Ouch)
  • Limited tuning options that can only be saved for up to 30 cars.
